Authorization and Authentication

This section provides an overview of how the service handles authentication and authorization.

Expere IE security relies on the security and configuration of individual tiered components (for example; AIX, WebSphere, and Oracle). Please see the manufacturer’s documentation for implementing security with those components.

The ExpereAPI service is not integrated with the claims-based identity system used throughout Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' distributed applications. Rather, the ExpereAPI does not perform authentication directly (for example by validating credentials submitted on a request message) but rather uses the HTTPS protocol to provide security.
